Just inklined Digistamp DT sample

Hiya Everyone,

I am sooo excited to tell you that I have been asked to do a guest designer spot over at the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge.  If you are familiar with my blog then you will know I absolutely love everything House Mouse so I was so chuffed to bits.  I have loads of House Mouse stamps but I don't often get chance to make cards with them unless I'm making samples for Joanna Sheen.

I have another of my samples to show you today which is actually a Just Inklined Digi sheet sample that I made before Christmas.  These sheets are 4 digi images printed onto smooth white card which makes them ideal for promarkers and copics etc.  There are many sheets to choose from and they are only 59p per sheet!  This particular sheet is available here.   I have coloured the image in with my promarkers.

I made an easel giftcard for a change.  The card itself is made around a box of toffifee which cost me £1 from poundland.  I removed the outer sleeve which leaves the chocolates still in their protective covering and used the sleeve as a template to make an outer wrapper for the box.  I then made an easel card the same size as box which I attached to the box when it was decorated.  It was quite easy to make and makes a nice (cheap) thank you gift!  The papers and design are quite plain but I wanted the main focus to be on the image.  If it wasn't a sample for TV and I was giving it away myself then I would probably make a matching box but I didn't bother.

1st Gruffies card

Hiya Everyone,

I have to share with you today a Joanna Sheen sample that I made for the release of the new Gruffies stamps a few weeks back.  Isn't it just gorgeous?!?

I have coloured the image with my promarkers and have added glossy accents to the blobs of honey!  I think it may take a few attempts to get the colours of the bears right as I so used to colouring the mice but I think it's ok as a 1st attempt!  The papers are from a free-bee (get it?!?) download which works really well with this image.  To download this yourself you can get it here.  I have added a little ribbon, some pearls and a lovely bee charm but otherwise left the card quite plain so the main focus was on the image.

I have decided to enter this into the new House Mouse and Friends monday challenge which has a "something new" theme.  This stamp is new to me and was the first time I'd used it so I hope it qualifies!   I love all things House Mouse so I'm always pleased if I can enter my Joanna Sheen samples into their challenges!

I have some DT work going at the moment but am trying to take it easy as it's been a bit mad in December so I'll be grateful for a bit of a break.

Joanna Sheen "Celebrations" challenge

Happy new Year Everyone!

I hope you all had a great night to see in the New Year and aren't too hung over! Lol
As it's the first of January we have a new monthly challenge starting over at the Joanna Sheen Challenge blog.  The new challenge is celebrations which can be interpreted any way you like so hop on over and link up your creations here!

For my card I have used a gorgeous House Mouse stamp called "cake" which you can get here at Joanna Sheen.  I have coloured him in with my promarkers with very subtle shades and have used warm greys for the little mouse instead of the normal sandstone so he wasn't too similar to the cake.  I also coloured him in again, cut him out and stuck him on with foam pads for a bit of depth.  The papers are from a freebie digi download but I can't remember where from.  I have also used my new (and ridiculously expensive) Magnolia swirl die which I have been after for ages!  I added a little lace, ribbon and a square doily from god knows where as well as a few pearls.  The sentiment is also from the same stamp sheet, stamped in brown ink.  I was aiming for a more neutral looking card rather than the pinks and lilacs I am always drawn to!

Check out the rest of the awesome DT work at the Joanna Sheen Challenge blog and the daily talent spots from the entries.  Our Guest designer this month is Christine from her Nanaseaside blog.  Christine is on a number of deign teams including my favourite House Mouse and friends Monday challenge.

This is the first card I've made in weeks due to being so busy with Christmas etc but hope to get more time to make more in the New Year!

Joanna Sheen House Mouse Christmas

Hiya everyone,

I've been so busy scheduling all of the next week's post on the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog that my own poor blog has been a bit neglected lately so I thought I would share another of my samples I made a few weeks back.  It is actually a image from one of the new get well soon range but I coloured the bird like a robin and made a Christmas card instead.  The stamp set is called "sweet kisses" and is available here at Joanna Sheen.

I have coloured the image with my promarkers and the papers are from a 6x6 paperstack that I got free with a magazine - it may be a HOTP one but I can't really remember.

I have been experimenting with photo effects - what do you think?  Better with or without?  I can't decide! Lol

I am now looking forward to spending Christmas with my and my hubbies family.  I've still got some DT work to do but I may have to do that tuesday onwards as I won't be in much over the weekend.

I wish all of you a Great Christmas and a fabulous new year!

All the best for 2012!!!
