Nitwits - Daffodil joy 3D card in a box!

Hiya everyone,    Today I have a Mother's Day card that I made which I was going to share with you last week but unfortunately my laptop finally died on me so I lost a lot of stuff.....sob! :(    I'm using the hubby's at the moment until I decide what I am best replacing it with as I honestly don't think it's worth fixing. I've still been gutting my craft room and selling all my excess stuff so it now looks like some of it will be going on a new laptop! :(  Hopefully when I get a bit more straight I'd be doing a bit more crafting as it's taken me ages to sort though it all!
Anyhoo,  I've been seeing a lot of these 3D card in a box cards recently and thought I'd give it  a try!  They're actually quite easy when you know how - there are loads of tutorials out there so just google it!
The fab papers are from the new Nitwits Collections kit called Daffodil Joy which are so pretty.  Lush pinks and lemons in check, spots and florals as well as some fab toppers.

The beauty of these cards is that they fold flat for cheap posting and they're a little bit different aren't they?

Hiya everyone, 

 

Today I have my DT card for today's ALBC "The birds and the bees" April challenge which starts today.  This is a card I made a while ago for Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine for a quick cards feature using papers from a Melody Ross paperstack.  I partially cut out a square leaving the bird in tact and then layered up the bird by cutting up the other sheets of paper.  You can see the layering on the second piccie better.  It's quite simple as it was a meant to be a quick card.  

 

I was planning on using one of the fab Little Claire's digistamps but have been so busy lately trying to clear out my craft room I decided I should make the effort to make Mother's day cards instead. I will use one for the midway reminder on the 15th April instead.

A wee bit late - Blog candy winner!

Massive apologies to everyone who's been hanging on waiting for me to announce my winner!  I've been so busy with my crafty clearout that I kept forgetting about it.  I've not made anything in the last few weeks as I have literally been getting rid of 1000's of things!  The main bulk of the stuff has gone but I keep adding to it and it's a nightmare to pack and post etc - especially as I have to wait for the wee ones to go to bed.

ALBC - Are we there yet? mid-way reminder

Hiya everyone, 

I have been so busy this last week having a HUGE clearout of my craft room as I have sooooo much stuff. I set up a crafty group to find new homes for it all and it's been so time consuming as I have thousands of things to sell!  I am off to the post office shortly armed with loads of parcels so they aren't going to like me much! lol

I also realised that I still haven't announced the winner of my blog candy which I will do tomorrow - sorry.  Not even crafted this week as I've not had any spare time.
