New beginnings - House Mouse and Friends

Hiya everyone, 

 After several weeks off from the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge I am now back for the very first challenge of 2013 which is

New Beginnings

  The stamp I have used is called "Balloon ride" which was sent to me by my awesome DT leader America.  My interpretation of the theme is more of a try and you'll get there inspirational kind of thing rather than new job etc.  We had the same theme at the Joanna Sheen blog and I'd already made a new baby card so I thought this seemed appropriate.  I have coloured the image in with my promarkers and flexmarkers and I layered it slightly for a bit of added depth.  The papers used are from the Prima "Tea thyme" paperstack.  
 
You will see a lot of this quickcutz fancy corner die as I bought it about 8 or 9 months ago but then lost it in my craft room.  For the majority of my pregnancy I barely crafted so I was delighted to find it when I had a HUGE tidy out in there last week.  


 
Apologies for the not-so-good piccies.  I've not seen my camera since Christmas day so I'm having to use my phone till it turns up - Oops!
 
I am so relieved to be back in my craft room and have lots of new Wild Rose Studio samples to share with you all over the next week or two so keep your eyes peeled!

Thanks so much for all your comments......they really do mean a lot and although I don't get a lot of time to return the compliment as it takes me all my time to keep my own blog up to date I do often have a wee nosey.

    This is gorgeous Paula. It would have been the perfect card for me when I was struggling to drive again after 20 years of not doing it. The man who was teaching me said that I held onto the steering wheel as if I thought the car was going to fly away like a balloon and this card put me so much in mind of that! Lovely! Hugs, Lesley
