House Mouse and Friends Blog Hop and New Challenge!!!

Hiya everyone,

This is my 2nd GDT card for the House Mouse and Friends monday challenge before I officially join as a normal DT member.  Soooo excited as I love House Mouse images so much.  We are also holding a blog hop in conjunction with the latest challenge too - the theme this time set by Christine which is "Love - must have more than one heart"

Your creation must contain a House Mouse, Happy Hopper or Gruffies image (decoupage is fine)

My card has been made with this fab stamp set from Joanna Sheen which is called "Sew happy" which you can get here.   I have coloured my image with my promarkers and the papers are from a fab Cosmo cricket paper stack called "Material girl" which was one of my prizes for winning the cardmaker of the year competition in 2010.

Anyway, back to the blog hop - there are lots of prizes up for grabs from our many generous sponsors.  To qualify for any of the prizes that are available you must join in with the current challenge and comment on each of the House Mouse and Friends DT blogs.

Joanna Sheen challenge - Celebrations

Hiya Everyone,

Just a mid month reminder that the Joanna Sheen "Celebrations" challenge is still till the end of the month.  There is a £30 Joanna Sheen gift voucher up for grabs for the random winner so be sure to enter a card!

This is a Gruffies stamp from Joanna Sheen which is part of the House Mouse Designs family.  This little cutie is from the "thanks a bunch" set and can be found here.

It is completely different from my usual style as it's quite clean and simple but I kinda like the way it turned out.   I think the embossing folder I used here is called textile and I have coloured the image with my promarkers.

I hope to see your creations - either on the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge "Black and White" challenge or the Joanna Sheen "Celebrations" challenge.

1st House Mouse and Friends Challenge card!!!

I am soooo pleased to share with you my very first challenge card for the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge.  For any of you that missed my previous post, I was asked to be a guest DT for the challenge and a few days later I was asked to join the normal team.  I adore House Mouse and have lots of stamps so it took me all of a nanosecond to say yes! 

The theme this time is "Black and White" and has been chosen by America.   I have used this gorgeous HM stamp which is a wooden stampabilities stamp that I have had for ages and never had chance to use it!   This challenge has be sponsored by Di's Digi Downloads (click on the piccie for a link)

I am one of 5 new DT members and I am so pleased to have joined the team.  The House Mouse and Friends monday challenges run every other monday and a House Mouse, Gruffies or Happy Hopper image must be used (decoupage sheets are ok too).  As part of the next challenge there will be a blog hop and lot of prizes up for grabs so be sure to check us out!!!

I have coloured the image in with my promarkers and added some glossy accents to the lipstick and coloured in the mirror with my sakura clear glaze pen.  The papers were remnants from a papermania black and white 12 x 12 lot that I'd had for ages.  The lipstick charm I bought from primark for £1.  It has a lobster clasp which is nice as it can removed and kept as a keepsake.  The piccies aren't great I'm afraid as my camera has died and I had to take this with my new phone (which I'm still working out how to use! Lol)

The swirl is the new magnolia one that I treated myself to with christmas money.  I need to make the most out of it as I think £18 is so expensive especially when you can get a full set of nesties cheaper!  The roses and black lace are from Wild orchid crafts.

I have also accepted another DT position in the last few days which I am also sooooo excited about but I am keeping it to myself at the moment as I'm still in the process of sorting it all out!

New DT position!!!

Hiya Everyone,

Apologies for not blogging much of late.  I have been soooo busy with samples and running the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog that I haven't had a great deal of spare time especially now I'm back at work! :(

I currently have more La Pashe samples to make and a new exciting piece for Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine to keep me busy.  I have however, stepped down from the Crafters Companion DT so will no longer be making samples for them or contributing to the monthly challenge so it's all change for me this month!

As regular visitors to my blog will know - I am a massive House Mouse fan and was lucky enough to be asked as a guest designer for the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge later this month!!!  I was well chuffed with that.......but yesterday I was invited by America Khun to join the regular DT!!!  They have taken on 5 new DT members including myself and I can't wait to start!!!  I have already made my first DT card which I can't wait to show you!

So any of you who love House Mouse as much as I do will be able to see my Joanna Sheen House Mouse DT cards and samples and the ones I will make for the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge!!

New Summer Driggs kit!!!

 

Hiya Everyone, 

I just wanted to let you all know that Summer Driggs has just posted a new "Cheers to the New Year" kit onto her blog.  They are a freebie download and her stuff is awesome if you aren't familar with her amazing blog.  It's great for printing out for making cards and scrapbooking or even for digital scrapbooking.  I use her fab kits all the time so check out her fab blog here.

The link to this specific kit is here but there is a list down the right hand side of all the kits she has produced over the last few years.  I have all of them and although it will take a while - trust me, it'll be worth the effort!
