I was sent this short video yesterday and I just had to share it with you as it's soooo cute! When they all laugh they kinda remind me of the muchkins in the Wizard of Oz!!! It made me smile anyway!!!

Joanna Sheen samples - Pressed flowers 7

Hiya Everyone,

I've had a really crafty day today as Tayla went to her Nannas so I had the whole day to myself. I was waiting in for some papers from Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine so I thought I'd do a few Crafters Companion blog challenge cards in advance as I'm moving shortly so it made sense to get organised. Anyhoo, the papers arrived at 5.15 so I've not had chance to use them yet but I did manage to do June, July and Augusts CC challenge cards so it's not all bad. I've asked for a short break from the Joanna Sheen DT as I'll be packing my craft room up shortly (sob) and I'm not exactly sure when I'll be back up and running. The plan is to decorate my craft room at the new house whilst it's empty and then move everything over so it should be relatively straight forward (fingers crossed). I love doing the DT cards for Joanna Sheen as you never know what you are going to get sent and it's such fab quality. The last 8 I made went yesterday ready for preview shows this weekend so I'll have those to share with you next week. I'm gutted about taking a break as I might miss out on some fab house mouse goodies - my favourites! :o(

This card is another one of the pressed flower samples that I did a few weeks ago. It was made using the rose set and is a lot plainer than most of my other cards just for a bit of a change. I wanted it to look like a cherry blossom branch.
The branch is cut from brown card using my cricut. I stamped out a few flowers and coloured them in with my promarkers. I layered them up for a bit of height and attached a MS leaf punch to each one. I then added a few dots to the centres with brown flock. Something was missing so I attached a MS butterfly, a couple of diamantes and some crystal stickles glitterglue around the edges of both the image and the sentiment for a little added sparkle. The font I used for my printed sentiment is Saginaw.

Crafters companion samples

Hiya Everyone,

I have just finished the latest batch of Joanna Sheen samples so I can get them posted tomorrow. I think I'll have to take a break from the DT for a short while till after I've moved house as I can't guarantee that I'll be able to get at my craft stuff in order to start/finish stuff. Besides, I've got packing to do, decorating and still have a 5 month old to look after. I'm getting excited about the move now as we've been buying wallpaper and other stuff ready. I've talked my hubby into going to IKEA when we hire a van to get some stuff as I want to get some storage and bookcases for what will be own new family/play room. I will try and blog as much as possible but there will be a point where my craft room is all packed away (sob) and I can't make anything at all so you will have to bear with me!

This is a sample I made for crafters companion a few weeks back as they were re-launching their everyday set which you can buy here. The backing papers were from one of the cds and the image is from one of the rubber stamp sheets. I stamped the cute dog and balloons out several times and coloured them in with my promarkers. I layered them up for extra definition and also added some black thread. The sentiment I did on my computer. Font is girls are weird.

May crafters companion blog challenge card

Hiya Everyone,

I can now post the card I made for this months crafters companion challenge blog. The theme is girls birthday so I decided to use this fab SWALK stamp which is called a little note which you can buy for yourself here. If you read my previous post you will see that I've been sooooo busy so I haven't really had chance to make much so it's nice to be able to share this card with you. The papers are from DCWV Nana's nursery "girl" paperstack which I got ages ago from WH Smith. I still haven't used the "boy" one yet at all.

The image I coloured with my promarkers and the flowers are from wild orchid crafts - I added glamour dust to them for extra sparkle. The swirl flourish was one I had donated from Romayne who sent me lots a while ago. The sentiment stamp is one I've had for years.

I do have some crafters companion and Joanna Sheen samples to share which I'll get round to at some point. I am off out in a minute to go to the Windmill Craft Centre to organise what I'm doing for my next workshop. I think it will some of the new craftwork cards stuff which is fab!!! When I get back I will draw my April blog candy which is the forever friends pink parfait set and will list mays new blog candy too!
