Joanna Sheen Challenge - Down in the garden

Hiya everyone,

It's time again over at the Joanna Sheen challenge blog for a brand new challenge which is

Down in the garden

It's actually Team B's challenge (I'm Team leader on Team A) but as we are still a few DT members down till we take on some new ones I thought I'd fill the gap a little by making an extra card.

The stamp I have used here is from the Joanna Sheen Favourite flowers stamp set "Wild roses" which you can get here.  I have stamped out the image several time and layered it up and it really pops off the card!  I have coloured it in very subtly with my promarkers and flexmarkers.
The papers are from the Prima paperstack which came with the most recent Simply cards and papercraft magazine.   I went a little OTT with this card as I really wanted to try out my new kraft card and new dies.  I'm really pleased with the way it turned out as I don't often colour in flowers and there is a lot of different textures going on!

We are holding an Autumn Blog-hop tomorrow where we have lots of fab prizes up for grabs - the Star Prize being a set of 4 Autumn House Mouse stamps!!!
Don't forget to pop along to the Joanna Sheen Challenge blog from 12 noon to hop along with me and the rest of the DT!

Thanks for looking!

House Mouse & Friends - Autumn harvest

Eek!

There's a brand new challenge over at the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge blog today.  The theme this time as chosen by DT member Dorte is

Autumn harvest

We have a fab $25 gift voucher up for grabs from House Mouse Designs which are our sponsors this time.

This cute little guy is from the Joanna Sheen "Tumble" House Mouse stamp set which is available here.  I have coloured him in with my promarkers and flexmarkers.  I was trying out a new dotty highlight effect around my image for a change although I'm still not 100% sure about it!
The papers are from the Prima paperstack that came free with this months Simply cards and Papercrafts magazine which I love.  I have also used my new Tim Holtz "Weathered clock" die that I finally treated myself to so you're going to see it a lot so I can justify actually buying it! Lol

This will actually be my last House Mouse and Friends challenge card for a wee while as I only have about 6 weeks left before my baby is due and my priority is keeping the Joanna Sheen Challenge blog up and running so I've decided to take a little break.

Hopefully it won't be for too long though as I really love my little meeces!

So Sweet! - Joanna Sheen

Hiya Everyone,

Todays the day for a brand new challenge over at the Joanna Sheen Challenge blog.  The theme this time is

So sweet!

The image is from the gorgeous "Chocolate box" House Mouse stamp set which is available here.  I have coloured the image in with promarkers and flexmarkers.

The papers are from the Bo Bunny "Crazy love" paperstack that I luckily won from Bramwell crafts via facebook.  I have also been trying out my new memory box "cherish" border die.  The bingo ticket is from a Jennie Bowlin set that is a good few years old and I don't know whether you can even buy them any more.  I'm still loving these mini Papermania scrabble letters that are also a bit of a nightmare to get hold of now - I managed to find a box of them recently in my local WH Smith for £14.99 but don't think they are readily available.

There is a £15 Joanna Sheen Gift voucher up for grabs to a random lucky winner of the challenge that runs till Thurs 27th Sept.

Last week now at work till my maternity starts on friday and just over 6 weeks now for the new arrival!

Friendship

We have 2 fab sponsors this time so 2 great prizes up for grabs!

My card has been made using a Joanna Sheen Happy Hopper stamp called "Hoppy birthday".  The papers are from the Wild Rose Studio Bella paperstack as I fancied using a lilac and yellow combo for a change.  The image has been coloured with my promarkers.
I have used a sentiment from a different House Mouse Set called "sweet kisses".  The dies used are my new magnolia "Tilda lace" border die and my Memory box flower die called "petal party".

Countdown is now on for my last 2 weeks at work till my maternity leave starts!

La Pashe Christmas petite decoupage sheets

Hiya everyone,

Don't die of shock but I have another DT sample to share with you.  It has been made using another of the Christmas petite A5 decoupage sheets that have just been launched from La Pashe.  This particular set is from the "festive feathers" set which you can get here.  I decided for a change to do a white-on-white card so I added lots of texture using my swiss dots and script embossing folders.

The cardstock I used for the blank and the matting and layering is a white pearl card which has a subtle gold sheen to it.  The image is called "wreath robin" which took me ages to cut out as I decided to mount the layered image onto a spotty disc rather than keep it as it is so I had to cut out the centre of the wreath which was dead fiddly.  I added a little glamour dust to parts of the wreath but I don't think you can tell from the piccie.

I was really pleased with the way it turned out and it looked much better in the flesh as white-on-white generally doesn't photograph well.

Only 2 weeks now left at work and counting!

La Pashe Christmas Petite decoupage sheets

Hiya everyone,

I have a DT sample to share with you that I made a few weeks ago for the launch of the new Christmas petite decoupage sheets.  The sheets are only A5 in size so the actual images are a much better size if you prefer 6x6 cards as I do find that some decoupage is a tad too big.

This sheet is called "on the fence" and is from the "festive feathers" set which are £1.99 for a set of 7 sheets.  There are 3 different sets to choose from and they are all available here.

Festive feathers

Dickensian Christmas
Santa
I made a matching card and gift box set which I filled with cheapie chocolate mints that I bought in poundland.  The papers used are from the papermania silent night set which I've had for ages which are nice and traditional.  I used a few pearl, some flowers and a gorgeous brass corner that I've been hoarding away!  I also added little glamour dust to the snowy bits of the image but didn't really use too much extra stuff so the emphasis is on the image.

I know that not everybody's a fan of decoupage but I actually like it and often layer up my own stamped images.  These sheets only have a few bits and bobs to cut out so they are ideal if you don't want to do lots of cutting out!

On a different note, I thought I would share my pregnancy progress and have even been brave enough to share a piccy with you.  I am about the same size as I was full term with Tayla so I am feeling very big and uncomfortable - as you can see it's all bump!  You can barely tell I'm expecting from behind.  I have (hopefully) just short of 2 months left to go untill we meet Tayla's new baby brother or sister.  I'm still counting down the days at work which is now just over 2 weeks!
