Hiya everyone,
We are still having a fab time in Windermere even though the weather has been very up and down. We are trying to plan our time depending on whether it looks like rain or not! On sunday we went on a short cruise round the lake and Tayla proceeded to fall asleep after about 10 minutes!
She did however enjoy the road train that we took to get from the car park to the lakeside. Although she has been very good for the majority of the holiday she has in the last few weeks been very clingy and only wanting her mummy (much to the disappointment of her daddy!) This wouldn't be too much of a problem if she didn't want picking up all the time. At over 5 months pregnant I am finding her very heavy and difficult to manage for long periods.
Tayla also enjoyed feeding the many ducks, geese and swans that we found on Lake Windermere - here she is with her Daddy!
We went to the fun factory today which is an indoor play area which she really enjoyed. She wore herself out and fell asleep in the car on the way back to the cottage. This meant mummy could have a little snooze too as I was worn out chasing around after her in there for 2 hours! We didn't manage to get any decent photos though as she was always on the go!
Anyhoo, back to the card I have to show you today which is a La Pashe sample I made for the launch on the new Tinsel Tots decoupage last week. These sheets are great for the young or just the young at heart and are ideal for those who don't like too much cutting out. The papers I have used are from a Trimcraft paperstack called "Festive Treats". All I added was some kraft card, a little ribbon, a few pearls and some glamour dust to the image. The sentiment is also from the sheet. There are 2 images per sheet of decoupage so they are great value for money. You can buy a full set from here or you can buy the sheets singly if you have a favourite!
Thanks for looking!

Summer Daze - Joanna Sheen Challenge
Hiya everyone,
I am now on my holidays in Windermere as me and my family have rented a cottage for a week. The weather has been dreadful so far but that hasn't dampened our spirits. It's mainly a break to chill out and not do very much. The cottage we have rented is set out over 3 floors and is like a TARDIS. There are 2 bedrooms, 3 sitting areas and 3 bathrooms as well as free wi-fi, sky movies and sky sports. I was a little worried about how good the internet was going to be but it's just as good as it is at home which is great.
Anyhoo, back to the new challenge starting over at the Joanna Sheen Challenge Blog which is
There is a random prize of £15 for the winner of the challenge as well as a coveted Guest Designer position up for grabs as well as our Top 3!
I can't wait to see all your summery creations and hope that you can join me and the rest of the DT!

Summer Daze
I have used my Joanna Sheen "sunflower" House Mouse stamp set which I have coloured in with my promarkers and flexmarkers. I was quite pleased with my colouring considering it was my very first attempt at this image.
The papers are from an old daisy K&Co paperstack which I've had for ages. I fancied using these papermania mini scrabble tiles so I decided on my sentiment as I only had a few letters left! Lol The sunflower is made up of 2 yellow flowers and a brown button tied up with a bit of raffia.

Liquid refreshments for those hot sunny days!
As usual we have some fab sponsors which are:-
Here I used the Joanna Sheen HM stamp set called "chill out" which you can buy here. I have stamped the image several times in order to layer it up for a bit of added depth. I have coloured the image with my promarkers although I did cheat a little and only coloured in the bits that you will see nicely with all the shading etc.
The papers are from the new Wild Rose Studio Strawberry Picnic paperstack which is lovely and summery but not overly bright if you know what I mean! I have used a few fabric flowers and a bit of seam binding tied in a knot (I suck at bows big time!) My last few House Mouse DT cards have been quite clean and simple (mainly due to lack of time and inclination if I'm honest) so I really spent a bit of time on this one. I hope you like it!
As I said before we are celebrating at the HM & F CB so the majority of the HM DT are offering personal candy from their blogs (as well as the normal challenge prizes!).
In order to be in with a chance of winning MY candy you MUST enter a card into the "Liquid refreshments for those sunny days" challenge that starts today and you must be a follower of both MY blog AND the HM & F CB and leave a comment on THIS post.
Other HM DT's candy may have slightly different requirements so please check on the individual blogs.
My candy is this fab set of Joanna Sheen Christmas stamps called "Gingerbread house"
This candy will run for 2 weeks and I will announce the winner with my next HM & F DT challenge card. If the winner does not come forward within 7 days of posting I will draw a new winner.
