Wild Rose Studio DT card

Hiya everyone,

I have another Wild Rose Studio DT card to share with you today, this time using one of the "Bella".  I have coloured the image in with my promarkers and the papers are from the "Bella" paperstack.

It is quite a simple card but I am still trying to get into the swing of colouring images and making cards as this is only my 3rd coloured image in almost 3 months so I feel more than a little rusty!  The sentiment is also from Wild Rose Studio's circle sentiments range.

I also wanted to share with you some of the Brand New stamps that have been released by Wild Rose Studio - a gorgeous little dog called Tilly - isn't she cute?!?

There are also some fab new mens themed stamps as well as 2 new paperstacks which have also just been released.  To see the full range you can have a looky here.

My lush new package of DT goodies has been held hostage at the post office and I'm not going to be able to collect it till wednesday :(   Ah well, I suppose it gives me something to look forward to!

Remember when.............?

Hiya everyone,

It all change at the Joanna Sheen Challenge blog for a brand new challenge.  The theme this time is

Remember when......?

I used the Joanna Sheen Jane Shasky CD rom which is full of lovely floral and herb type images.  I copied an image and papers and printed them out in a sepia colour so that I could create a vintage feel.  I distressed and inked he edges with my old paper distress ink add added a few details from various tea stamps that I had in my stash.  I decoupaged my image which was very fiddly but worked really well.  The image is quite large so I made an 8x8 card as it filled up almost a whole 6x6 card which looked a bit silly.

Please check out the other DT inspiration on the challenge blog.

1st Wild Rose Studio DT card

Hiya everyone,

Don't die of shock but I've finally made my first Wild Rose Studio DT card.  I  joined the DT back in March when I found out I was pregnant and then didn't feel up for making anything and kinda didn't for about 2-3 months.  I felt so bad but they were so lovely about it.  I think I may have a play with Bella the cute little elephant tomorrow!

The papers are from the vintage rose paper stack which is so lush - lots of vintage rose, mint and browns.  I have coloured the image with my promarkers (which I feel very rusty from - this is only my 2nd coloured image in 3 months)  I also coloured the doily in with my satin promarker as it was too white before and looked a little odd.  The wooden ladybirds added a cute touch as there are a couple of ladybirds on the stamped image.

The sentiment is a car boot buy from ages ago.  Apologies for the average piccie - I finally bought a new camera and I haven't got a clue how to use it properly.  anything more than point and click is a little beyond me! Lol

I am hoping that I have turned a corner - 2 cards in 2 days!  My energy levels have returned and I feel a lot more like my normal self!

I look forward to sharing my other Wild Rose Studio samples with you soon!

House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge

Eek!

It's that time again for a brand new challenge over at the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge.  This challenge is being hosted by DT member Sue Drees with a theme of

Circles and polka dot - all "round" fun!

We have some great sponsors this time which are as follows:-

 $25 gift voucher

$10 embellishment package

My card has been made with this cute stamp from the Joanna Sheen "cosy toes" set which you can buy here.    I have coloured the image with my promarkers - this is the first image I have coloured in for a least 2 months!   I have used a few funky fairy printable papers in a baby pink colour which you sadly can no longer buy.  The sentiment ticket is from a fab range over at the Crafty Pad stamp designs which you can get here and I have used half a doily.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I have made this for my crafty friend Sarah who is due to give birth to a little girl in about 2 weeks time.  She really has had enough now bless her!  I have all the back pain and uncomfortable, sleepless nights to come - the joys of pregnancy!  I am feeling well though and I can feel that I am slowly but surely regaining my interest in doing stuff - crafty and non-crafty.  It's a horrible feeling not being interested in things you normally enjoy.  I have been enjoying spending time with Tayla and generally taking it easy when I've not been at work.  I am running the Joanna Sheen Challenge blog which I do in my spare time which means I am still involved in all things crafty even if I've not been making stuff myself.

I hope you're all well and I'm sorry that I don't get to look over all your blogs like I used to - there just aren't enough hours in a day!
