Hiya everyone,
For those who normally check out my blog - I am feeling lots better now so I hope to blog a bit more than I have been doing in the last two weeks. It was more important to keep the Joanna Sheen Challenge blog updated daily so it didn't leave me much time for my own poor neglected blog.
Today is the first of our two weekly challenges and the theme this time is
If you're anything like me then you hate making mens cards so it's been really interesting to see what the design team came up with. I have to say they have excelled themselves as they are all fabulous, yet all completely different. The challenges will now change every other sunday so the 15th will next challenge and so on.
The card I have made here is actually a sample I made for one of Joanna's shows on Create and Craft TV a wee while ago that I never blogged about. With me not being well it made sense to use something I had that was suitable as I have barely made anything in the last few weeks. I have used one of Joanna's wordy stamps with some masculine papers that I've had ages. I cut out the word son by hand (with the help of my printer - I printed the mirror image of the required words onto the reverse of the paper so that the letters read the right way. I then stuck them onto brown card and cut a small margin around the edge. I do have a cricut but it's still in the spare room after the house move last year. I think I've only used it twice - isn' t that terrible?
I hope to see what you come up with for the new "male" challenge!
Thanks for looking!
Paula. x

Oh Paula this card is fab. Im so sorry I havent been about lately. Life keeps inconveniently getting in the way, no matter how many times I attempt to elbow it out of the way! lol. Major overhaul of the Craft Room has spilled over to the rest of the house and ever nook, cranny, corner and cupboard is being gutted out. Who knew a tiny 2 bed bungalow could hold so much stuff!
