Joanna Sheen Spring Challenge Card

Hiya everyone,

It's the beginning of the month so it's time to share with you my card that I made for the Spring/Easter challenge that started today over at the Joanna Sheen Challenge.  This is our last monthly challenge before we change to bi-weekly on the 1st April!!!

I bet you're all shocked that it  isn't a House Mouse card Lol but I really wanted to use my Joanna Sheen pressed flowers stamps that I got last year.  They are so pretty and so versatile.  This stamp is from the "narcissi" set which you can get here.

The papers I have used are from the lemon sorbet capsule collection papers from papermania that I got in a Docrafts goody bag a while ago.  I used two sheets of gingham papers, one which is slightly darker yellow than the other.  I was going to put a springy sentiment on it but realised it's my Nan's 87th birthday on the 8th March so I decided to make her a birthday card instead.

I used my very under-used Martha Stewart deep border punch and inked all the edges in old paper distress ink.  The stamp I stamped directly onto the lighter gingham paper and layered them up.  I had a little of the darker yellow paper left so I stamped the centre of the daffodil only onto the scraps I had left.  This saved me doing any colouring whatsoever which is good as I'm quite a slow colourer!   The ribbon and bow (I think) are from the sunshine capsule collection which were from a previous Docrafts goody bag!

I hope to see all your spring entries and that you drop by.  If you don't have a blog you can still enter (see the JS challenge blog for more info)

Thanks so much for looking!

  8. Hi Paula,
What a perfect card for today Paula, Narcissi (daffodil) is, as you know I am sure, our national flower/emblem. Was this a coincidence or did you plan to do them for today? If so from a true Welsh lass I thank you, its stunning and full of sunshine.
Happy St Davids Day. Hugs Linda x
