Hiya everyone,
I have a Wild Rose Studio DT sample to share with you that I made a few weeks ago. I have just got my mitts on all the new Wild Rose Studio Christmas stamps - Christmas Bella the cute little elephant and Annabelle's Christmas. I have not had much chance to play with them yet but I only have a few more weeks at work before I go on maternity leave so I'm hoping to soon.
This card has been made with the Fergus printed panels which are a fab pack of ready coloured in images and some balck and white outline images for you to colour in youself. The papers are from the candy floss paperstack which is also from Wild Rose Studio. It's quite a simple card and the bow is one I cut out of one the papers a few times and layered it up.
The sentiment round is from Pink Gem Designs and is available here.

House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge
Eek!
It's that time again for a brand new challenge over at the House Mouse and Friends challenge blog. The theme this time picked by DT member America is:-
so we want to see all your school themed creations. As usual, we have some fab prizes up for grabs from our fab sponsors!
One lucky winner will get a $25 gift voucher to spend in their on-line store
My card was made very quickly late last night as I've had a right lazy last few weeks and have barely made a thing. The Gruffies stamp is the only thing I had in my stash that was remotely suitable as he was holding a book but I think I just about managed to pull it off! I coloured him in with my flexmarkers and the papers are a mixture of a Summer Driggs "moments" freebie kit and the school text paper is another freebie download that I've had for ages! The ruler is simply a ruler clipart image that I printed out and cut out.
It's my birthday today and have been spoilt rotten with breakfast in bed and some lovely goodies both crafty and non-crafty. Luckily, it's a bank holiday so the hubby is also off to share my day! I am now almost 7 months pregnant and have just been given some iron tablets after my blood tests revealed I was a little anaemic. I'm hoping that after a week or so of taking them I'll feel a little perkier and will feel more like making stuff and will hopefully blog a little bit more.

Totally sentimental
Hiya everyone,
We have a brand new challenge starting today over at the Joanna Sheen Challenge blog
We have a brand new challenge starting today over at the Joanna Sheen Challenge blog
We want to see all your cards that have a sentiment as a main focal point rather than an image although your card have an image on it.
My DT card was a sample I made a while ago for the release of the new Joanna Sheen pressed flowers stamps - this card features 2 different ivy stamps and is from the "narcissi" set. I was very lucky to be able to work with all 3 sets which are so versatile. You can check them out for yourself here. My card is a gatefold card which isn't something I do very often but I thought it would work best with the effect I was trying to go for. It looked so much better in real life as mirri card is difficult to photograph but most cards do don't they? The leaves were coloured with my promarkers and then layered up around the sentiment panel - I used a clear sakura glaze pen on the edges and veins for added effect but you can't really tell from the piccie. The sentiment is one I printed out on my computer although I can't remember the name of the font!
I had intended to make a card specially for the challenge but I haven't been feeling well after I almost passed out at work so I was sent home. I'm feeling a bit more like myself now as I felt dreadful at the time but my midwife told me to take it easy so I've not done much at all over the last week or so. I only have a few more weeks left at work which I'm pleased about and I finish about 6 weeks before I'm due on the 2nd November.

which means we wants to see cards with more than one House Mouse, Gruffle or Happy Hopper on it!
We have fab sponsors so a great big thanks to them!
I have used a Joanna Sheen Gruffies stamp set called Dancing Queen which you can buy here. I have coloured the image in with my promarkers and have added a little glossy accents round the Gruffies mouth.
The papers (I think) are from a MME paperstack that came as a freebie with a magazine. The sentiment is also off the same stamp sheet.
I missed the last olympic themed challenge as I had a lot on with my mum being poorly and my hubby starting a new job but it all seems to be settling down a bit now. I have just finished several samples for La Pashe for upcoming shows which I will share with you shortly when they are released. I have also finished a Christmassey piece for Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine which I won't be able to share for a long while although if I remember I'll let you know when the magazine is out! I have started on my new samples for Wild Rose Studio which are of the lovely Xmas Bella range which are so cute. I am soooo looking forward to finishing work as I only have another 6 weeks to go before I start my maternity leave.....Yay!

Apologies for going AWOL for a few weeks - I even forgot to post my last Joanna Sheen challenge DT card (Animal crackers) onto my own blog - I blame the hormones! :D
